In the Spring of 2018 Riva Restaurant welcomed new Executive Chef, Jason Heard.  Heard is Southern by birth, but as the son of a US Army officer, he spent a lot of time traveling the world and getting exposed to a variety of cooking styles, techniques, and ingredients. His restaurant resume includes stints in Georgia and Key West before he came up to Boston and spent years as Chef/Owner at East Coast Grill in Cambridge, where the Southern and barbecue-inspired menu also included touches of the Caribbean and beyond.  Prior to landing in Scituate, MA Heard spent a few years at Coppersmith's in South Boston.  Heard is launching his first menu at Riva on April 26, 2018.  The menu is a perfect blend of incorporating Riva's Italian roots and Heard's New American flair with a strong focus on local seafood.
